New 350z
The 350z has always been a car that I've seen as a possible to replace the S2000, if it were not for the uglyness of the roadster.
I hear that the new 350z will have a folding tin top. I would hope that this would look far more aesthetic.
It is also rumoured to have a 3.7l V6 this time around and may actually be called the 370z.
Only concern would be what all that extra weight would do to an already heavy car.

I know they've upped it to 307bhp and it's now quicker than the S2k to 62, VBH was pretty impressed with it on Fifth Gear and given that she's an S2k owner I have to give her opinion some weight. The weight would worry me though and whilst I'm sure the car is decent my local dealers were complete pish.
That would bother me.

I followed an 07 350Z Convertible home the other night and it looked gorgeous - but I have the same problem - our local dealer is Dixon and they are shocking!

Yes before I bought the S2000 I tested the 350Z, also the Z4. The Nissan dealers were shocking, well not so much the dealers primarily the sales people. Used to selling Micra's to grannies I suppose.

The 350Z convertible looks like a Ka that has eaten all the pies
I could quite happily have a Coupe but the soft top is, at least IMO, grim.

Went and had a look at the new Audi TT Roadster with full body kit in our local dealers - didn't look as nice close up as it did passing the showroom window.

I think there must be a common problem in Nissan dealers.
I went to one in St. Albans early last year before I bought the S. I knew more about the car than the guys in the dealership!

I really like the coupe. It's pretty rapid and well balanced given it's weight. I definitely consider one.
Agree with everyone that said that the 'vert is an eyesore. Eurgh...
My only issue with the 'Z' is the exterior door handles - they look like they're made of a really cheap plastic nicked from a 70's star wars toy.
