Mark,
It wasn't really aimed at that part; I too answered the same question!
It was to bring it back to the main theme, I think people ssened to have not quite got what you summarised above.
Moggy's right - BMW only make the one-series so that I may hum the Wallace & Gromit theme tune when I see one. Bavarian humour; helps cheer white man up a bit these days!

The problem is some people want to appear to be better than they are.
This means a "prestige marque" car, massive branding on "designer" clothes, only drinking "Stella" .. who cares if they live in a pikey neighbourhood and eat tesco value beans every night.

Visit Cheshunt & see the Mercedes on every other drive.
It's kind of made it a joke brand in my eyes.

My road is full of Mercs/BMWs too .. but then it is a quiet area with a few doctors and a few retired people.
Funny thing is the house I'm in is the biggest, and there is usually two modded japenese cars on the drive. Neither of which are "prestige" but both are "quite quick".
I'd defo the black sheep.

Russ.
After waking up from a short kip a lot less grumpy I realise how harsh and intolerant my comments read. Unfortunately I stand by them.

ing 2-litre sh1te. I've driven one, and it covers EXACTLY the point this thread is trying to make, I think - it LOOKS like the 265bhp 3.0si BMW, but it drives like a bloody Iceberg lettuce that's gone off. And you have to spend

Still think you lot are wierd
There are loads of people out there who love particular cars. Lets use the Z4 as an example.
Many people prefer new cars, and don't like to buy used e.g.
- company car drivers
- people who like the 'protection' of a new car e.g. warranty
- people who don't like buying used cars (you never know how they have been treated)
There are lots of people out there who don't give a monkey about performance, but, for
