Nearly Cars
What is the f**king point of them. Cars that have the same body as the top of the range model, but have 1/10th of the performance. Why would you do that. As I just posted on the pistonheads news section, why can't we just have slow cars that look slow and fast looking ones that go fast. It keeps everyone honest. It puts an incentive on to people to get better jobs and work harder at school to get a better looking car.
I've never understood cars like the 306 Xsi, Golf Driver, Saxo West Coast, 120bhp A4 S-lines with the S4 bodykit, and now the Ford Focus that looks like an St but has 150bhp or something stupid.
I liken it to walking around in a nightclub with a banana down your pants trying to impress the ladies. You might look like you've got the right stuff, but when the going gets tough, you get flacid. Aren't you just pretending you aren't a failure, but in actual fact confirming that you are exactly that?

I totally agree Bada.
I would be embarassed to drive something that is pretending to be something it's not.
It's a little bit like people who de-badge there cars.
I know someone who has a new 5 series touring. It's got the M sport pack and has been de-badged. It's a 2.0 Diesel!!!

Agree completely - the only thing that makes me even more annoyed is when some rude boy buys a 1.1 saxo and fits the VTS alloys, bodykit, seats, badges, etc, etc. They usually fit the engine and gearbox a few wage packets later at a total cost double that of buying the real McCoy?!?! WTF! GET A LIFE!

I never got the 1.1 -> 1.6 16v transplant brigade either. Usually milk van boys with f**k all chance of insuring a real VTS, so they would prefer to pur a shitload of money into a botched 1.6 conversion and drive it with void insurance.
