My new car....
Hi all,
As many of you are aware I ended my long journey with the S2000 in the middle of April when I sold it to a user of this site. Over the 5 years I owned 2 S2000's and loved every minute! It will be greatly missed, but I really felt my time had come to a natural end and I was really keen to try something new. Also, a new job with an estimated 20-25k miles per annum meant that I needed something that would be nice to drive on the motorway.
So, the challenge began in November when I drove a series of cars including the 350Z Coupe and Roadster, Audi S3 TT3.2 Coupe and the Z4M. The TT was quickly ruled out as it was crap... seriously, the handling / feedback was non-existent. The Z4M due to the cost of ownership with 25kk per annum and the 350Z Coupe became my choice. Then my eyes opened to the new 135i Coupe and a test drive was quickly arranged. The choice was simple, the 135i was a great car to drive, and given that the Zed is due to be replaced and that I only managed 16mpg the choice was easy.
So on 23rd May 2008 I picked up a branded new 08 135i M Sport Coupe in white with coral red leather. The car really looks fantastic to me, from some angles it does look strange and I have still not quite adjusted to the big front lights, but opting for the Bi-Xenons / Angel Eyes helps with the front end. Including adding teh leather, I also specced the following:
- Pro Stereo and Logic 7
- USB / Ipod Connector
- Darkend Glass
The list price of the car is

Nice, I have the "official tightwad" version
Very pleased with mine
(Interested in how you get on with the CDV as the 1st to 2nd change is the only thing I don't really like...)

19mpg was driving through traffic getting home and then a little drive - getting much better!
You'll get early to mid 30s on an 80-85 cruise down the Mway.
