Correct me if I'm wrong but......

E90 M3 = 4 door saloon
E92 M3 = 2 door coupe

The "auto box" fitted to either is the new DCT (duel clutch transmission) and totally different to the DSG, which is a manual gearbox operated electronically.

Summut like that anyway

Did you get any pics Sti?

The model designation is right - DSG is volkswagen's dual clutch transmission which I believe is similar to BMW's duel clutch. Are you thinking about SMG which was the manual operating with hydraulics i think.

DCT is BMW's version of the VW/Audi DSG dual clutch system (now known as DSG/S Tronic) and is fitted to the E9* 3-series

The semi-auto on the E46 is SMG (or SMG II), as described above by Chilled.

DSG is an acronym for DoppelSchalterGetriebe. Or Doubleshiftgearbox in sterling.

What's the 335 like? There's not that much in it in performance
Very nice road car. More than adequate poke for A road use. Very relaxed high speed autobahn cruiser. It's pretty quiet at a steady 100.

Ride on the run flats on 19" wheels on uneven surfaces is not good.

But overall I'm very pleased with it.
