I saw that on TLF.

Better to be optimistic than have a misty optic, I suppose.

The hunt for the right motor is proving tricky.

I did a 400 mile trip to see one a few weeks ago but something about it put me off, so that one wasn't to be.

I now expect that it will need summer to end for the market to show a gem or two so it looks like I need a find other things to do on a weekend. Time to paint the garage.

Howdy Chesh! Unless you've not made the connection - this is Apple from back in the RMC / Cemex forum days

Anyway, just a heads-up if you are looking new - Hoffmanns of Henley have just taken delivery of an all black 250 Cup with the less f@#k ugly front clam variant these bafflingly frequent new Elises have.

Let me revise for fear of being perceived as some kind of Lotus fanboy...

Hi mate,

Not sure I am the same ches as you know, but no worries.

I've seen that delivery. I know the Hoffmans salesman. I don't want a 250 Elise, I'm buying a v6 s3 Exige. I've very nearly bought two but both fecked up for their own reasons.

The Cup cars are rare but I'll get one. Must be tidy, must be bright although any colour excluding black will now do. Prefer a Cup, will take a 350 Sport.

The hunt rolls on

No car should have a front clam - how can you keep a straight face when talking about it.

Stone chipped clam?
Gas ram assisted clam?
Removable clam?
Louvered clam ..... ?

There will no doubt be some kind of Lotus approved 'perfume' that one can place under ones front clam to keep it smelling nice.

Clams are cool. Tbh, they should be quick release and hinged like a noble, life would be much better.
