i have toyed with this, JCT600 had a nice starlight black one recently but we couldnt agree a deal, they wanted to shaft me on the M3 imo

i'm not sure i can be arsed till i finish my current contract, too much time required

orange is for men with receding hair and a small penis though. right up your street if the rumours are true

There is a big jump from an S2 with upto 260bhp and a 3 with the v6 at north of £50k

The former is a good depreciation bet, the latter not so sure

Yes, I will have that plate forever now! It will follow all my (decent) cars. Part of the family!

Nice to know!

I remember sitting with Marc in a Sussex pub one evening discussing possible S2000 plates and he said "you'll think I'm crackers, but I found these three plates....S2X00, S2OXO and S2OOX...what do you think?" I loved the idea of a 5 digit plate, and if I recall correctly S2 OOO had recently been sold for £5,000 or something daft. Marc's bargain basement alternatives came in £4750 cheaper, all for the sake of one digit. The next day, Marc had bought S2 OOX and S2 XOO was mine. Sadly I sold my plate once I moved on from the S2000. We both had illegally spaced plates, (and never had a problem) losing the space, but I see you are a fine law-abiding sort of chap Colin?!

I do still have a 5 digit plate though.

Glad you're enjoying it instead of young boys carp

Ours had 2000X on when we bought it. The DVLA told me to keep driving on that plate until they sent me stuff through. About 2 weeks

It was a cool plate IMO

I will let you decide Ian....here is the plate from the S days.......

It makes more sense on the Elise as S2, because, it's an S2 variant saying that, it nearly lived on my a2 to save paying the retention for 4 years whilst I couldn't afford a decentish motor due to being back at uni. I'm not sure why I didn't do that
