Just remembered I was chatting to the service manager about Evoras and costs of maintenance etc.

The official book time for a clutch change on an Evora is 33 hours.

33 hours !

Evora owners take note and either factor this in or shift it before the clutch needs replacing.

33 hours !!!!!!

There must be a joke about needing a doctor in there somewhere.

Has anyone else had badluck with windscreens on the elise? My car is screaming hit my screen please with a breeze block from a rear truck wheel. Dread to think of the process if I get one in line of sight that forces a screen swap :-(

Our Nissan Vannete was prone to that. 4 new windscreens while we had it.

Goes with the territory
Switch to a well know indie once it is out of warranty.
An oil & filter change on mine is £1,100 with a dealer, I can buy the parts for £200

CC have a think about some venture shield or such like, you can see what it does to the screen, it's doing just as much to the paint!

I must've had about six in the S2000, if it's any consolation.

That's the screen angle, I think. The Elise is mostly windscreen and even lower, so it's probably worse.

Or just my sort of luck...

I'll leave these two until they crack / another appears line of sight. Knowing my luck I'd replace then end up with another!

I am on my third windscreen on the S, it's a f@#ker for chips, I got a chip right under my eyeline the day after I had the brand new screen fitted a few months ago.... its still there and the only one on the screen for now! I will change it again possibly next year, but I can live with it for now ... I guess.

By the way you don't lose any no claims or some such, just costs an excess ... in my case it was £60 I think.
