There's no way Lewis is anything like as a good as Kimi or Alonso. There was only 2 points between LH and Alonso at the end of the championship last year

A non sequitur has nothing to do with grammar.

I just thought that it was a bit bizarre that you can say that Hamilton is no where near as good as Alonso and then in the next sentence you go on to say that Hamilton beat Alonso by 2 points in the championship.
I think some people need to be consistent. When Hamilton does something quite impressive such as finishing second in the championship in his rookie year, beating 2 times world champion Alonso in the same car, well that couldn't possibly be anything to do with him, it must be Alonso, or Ron Dennis or the car or whatever conspiracy theory people want to invent.
When Hamilton does something incredibly stupid however, such as spouting inane gibberish to his buddies at ITV or smashing into the back of Raikkonen in the pit lane, well that is 100% his fault.
So he's fecked if he does and fecked if he don't.
For the record I'm with those who are getting sick of his self worship, but I firmly believe that he has the talent.

Given a good, reliable car even an average F1 driver will look good, just take a look at Damon Hill back in the 90s when Williams were dominating F1. I don't believe people will claim that Damon Hill was a brilliant driver but partly due to the dominance of the team he won the championship.
It would be really interesting to see how good other drivers actually are if they were given the opportunity to drive a Mclaren or Ferrari. I would like to see just how good Mark Webber is in a dominant car because his lap of the Top Gear circuit in wet conditions was far more impressive than the lap by Lewis Hamilton.

I belive a man of his standing only gets there by having a one tracked mind, win at all cost. Now if anybody starts with that attitude you will automaticly hear people say your arrogant, and they are right!!! It takes so much dedication to be that good, that its inevitable that you will become a self centered arrogant person. Lewis is an AWSOME driver and we should just thank our lucky stars that he is a brit, end of....

I just think Hamilton was very lucky to be driving the Mclaren last year when they were the dominant team for most of the season.
And McLaren weren't the dominant team. In case you've forgotten, Ferrari won both championships.
