I'm more worried that the police spent vast sums investigating a crime where there were no victims. 37 in a 30 FFS.
How many burglaries, assaults and the like receive quite so much attention from plod I wonder?
The message?
You can mug and steal with reltive impunity so long as you're careful, but go above the speed limit and we'll move heaven and eath to hunt you down.
Sommat wrong there......

Good on the police.
Perverting the course of justice is a serious crime.
He's a criminal it's in his mindset, this might just stop him doing something more serious
He should of just taken the speeding fine.

A total waste of police time IMO. Yes he shouldn't have been speeding, and yes he got caught, but I'd rather see the Police's already limited resources dealing with more improtant matters first.

I know someone that did similar.
They were caught for 90mph on the m4 and already had 9 points.
They got away with it, and fair enough.
I agree with Mark, for a victimless crime the penalties are a smidge high.
If only we could issue everyone with sandwich boards with a unique number on, that must be worn at all times. We could then put up mugging and rape cameras on every corner. Fines automated and in the post.

Just TWOC one uninsured & mow down some schoolkids. While pissed & stoned.
You'll probably get put on a karting course, to help your drug & alcohol addiction. Britain loves victims. You will be subjugated!
