Now, if she was 55,a Doctor in an Audi A4 Diesel, would we all be thinking the same?

Of course not - it's a boring story.
yes your right. a childs death just sends me right to sleep.
So you can see where I am coming from - the childs death isn't really the focus of this story - it's the Porsche, Young Man, stolen car, speeding, quick fit fitter.

I mean, come on, 2 young lads out in a Porker and managaing to wreck it? Must have been the kids fault.
Forget stereotypes, forget preconceptions - just the facts ma'am.

It's actually a very hard thing to do.

I haven't said it was the little lads fault, just that it was probable he ran out into the road from the near side damage on the car.

And you are all letting the sensationalism cloud your judgement

Young - Check
Male - Check
Took car without consent - check
Sportscar - check
Porsche - check
Kwik-fit fitter - check

Now, if she was 55,a Doctor in an Audi A4 Diesel, would we all be thinking the same?

Of course not - it's a boring story.

Which is completely wrong because a young life has been extinguished and instead of trying to prevent it happening again, we just want to lynch someone.
It's clear the media do seem to focus on certain stories more than others. Why that is, is anyone's guess, but I suspect the fact it was a child killed by a "stolen" Porsche were major factors. That's just how the media seem to work these days.

I remember reading some numbers about how many other kids went missing when the media were reporting about Sarah Payne back in 2000. It made for startling reading, but the question remained why did the media focus on that one girl?

Am I going mad? A tosser joyriding in a stolen Porsche kills a child and some on here seem to think that his punishment was harsh!!!
FFS get real.

I was a passenger in a car my friend was driving at 30miles an hour (Ford Orion in 1988) and a young boy around 11 jumped out from behind a bus and was hit. Fortunately he only suffered a bruise, the car had a slight dent on the bonnet. No way in hell was the 911 traveling at 30 MPH - look at the windscreen, the head seems to have smashed into it....

The accident happened in a 60mph road. So it's more than likely he was doing at least 60.

IIRC Nexus, didn't you have a bit of "speeding points" racked up in recent months?!.. terrible gossipers on here, I tell thee (don't shoot the messenger)

Poor kid, no one's fault but the pratt who caused the death. Now he'll be looking forward to picking up the soap in the showers with other killers
