Shipley, do they do big mileages ok? Contemplating something like that as my next car and keeping it 6-8 years (from new or nearly new), which would put 150-200k on it.

I saw one in the showroom the other day, it is hideous.

If I stay jap, I'd probably get an 09 Spec B.

It's the only jap that appeals and it'll be a very cheap upgrade if I leave it till 2010 but we'll see.

Just got a call from the beemer dealers, I'm booked in for a 335d test drive in a couple of weeks and hopefully a 335i for comparison.

They seem to... They went off the boil around 2002 so you need to get a facelifted one 54 reg onwards.

The 270CDI is relatively rare in the C Class but has far more grunt than the 220 I once drove.
