He was one out of thousands that were tested.
Most failed as they didn't have the physical stamina, mental attitude etc to stick at it when it got tough.

I'd inlcude me in that
I know I'd enjoy the actual racing but also know I couldn't deliver the commitment required to keep it up.

So its safe to say those that are experienced would muller you. I would like to see what it would be like as I have never raced a car. I wonder how bad it would be against experienced drivers? Sounds like quite bad.

MB's probable best placed to comment
The guys I know that have done it tell me it takes a LOT of dedication and discipline
Key is learning the tracks and the differnt lines
I'm impatient and CBA to pound round time after time for fractions of a second improvement

I don't think I would be any good because I don't have access to enough green shells or bananas.

Think of it like this. You spend years doing something, like say, playing tennis or competitive cycling. You know the scenario, guy at work says 'oh I used to play tennis at school'

This normally means they haven't hit a ball for 20 years, meanwhile you have been playing competitively.

Annihilation.

Also to go racing you have to pass a test, which requires a reasonable bit of track driving experience. Then there's car setup, tactics, circuit knowledge, racing regulations / flags, etiquette etc.

Just food for thought! But I don't think games really prepare someone for racing.

I'll probably stick to just track days then

OR, I play more call of duty and apply to the SAS.

I don't expect people will want to watch me like I want to watch them.
