i think i'd have the cayman s. because...
...i'll probably buy a tin-top as my next car. i do like the soft-top but it's not the be all and end all. but i would buy another car with a soft-top again in the future.
...i've always fancied a porsche. i think almost all of the reviews of the cayman s have been good. the looks have grown on me although i'm still not 100% sure about the rear.
...i don't care about people thinking you're a tosser because you drive a [insert car here]. folk should buy/drive what they like and sod everyone else. lots of (stupid) folk think S2ks are tossers cars i'm sure. it's your hard-earned (or competition prize) that you're shelling out so be happy with what you buy (win).
...from all accounts it handles amazingly and goes like stink.
2nd place - bmw Z4M (think it's basically a more powerful version of the S2k - no TC and 300+ bhp!)
3rd place - boxster s (the new one introduced last year seems like a really good car - looks better than the old model - much more stigma attached to the boxster obviously buy you could probably live with it 'cause you'd know the car you're driving is a good un.)
would take a Z4M Coupe over all of them though

Merc or RR.
I've never driven the Merc so if it was fun enough to replace the S I would take that. I'm not really that bothered about expensive cars and badges and whatnot - I drive the S cos I have a laugh in it.
If not, I'd take the RR and use it for motorway travelling.
edit - actually having said that, they're all going to be bastard expensive to run. So I'll agree with the "most expensive and flog it" approach.
