My friend has one... Its actually brilliant fun and revs to 9k... if its snows you can get the backend out... just.

feck me, you guys should try driving pre 1985 cars

you could 'get the back out' on just about anything rwd made before then

I always thought they felt a bit top-heavy compared to the MK1.

The production versions had good handling, but no roadholding whatsoever. The antithesis of modern cars.

That one on ebay has been up for sale for at least 8 months. Either it's over-priced or there is more wrong with it than meets the eye. If you really want it offer a lot less. They may be willing to negotiate but I wouldn't pay that for it though. IMHO

I test drove one years ago.

the engine did a lot of screaming and it didn't go or handle (not that it had any power to exploit what handling qualities it might have had).

It felt like the automotive equivilant of a migraine.
