Well, it's actually protection under chapter 11 of the act from paying its creditors; we don't have exactly the equivalent over here.

It allows it time to restructure with FIAT - that other boom to bust specialist.

They will thus, like two drunks, be able to prop each other up.

Just to complicate matters, FIAT is after Opel, yet GM wants to retain Vauxhall, who will henceforth probably have to bedge-engineer Daewoos and Holdens.

Oh what fun we had...

All but one of the US airlines are chapter 11... they all seem to function well enough

This is the 50-60 year K-wave downturn. Only it took much longer than 50-60 years this time, which was odd and confused some of us.

Of course it's f ucking deep!
