Default Good route for sat morning blast

Going for an early morning blast with a mate in his Vantage

No more than 5 hrs there & back.

Starting from N Manchester (Worsley) just off the M60.

Any ideas (paging Blurter)?

Was thinking up towards Kendal and across towards newcastle?

Might head over to Scarborough using the A684 (from the M6). Anyone know this route?

Don't do Wales or Lakes, too much traffic.

Blast up the M6 to Penrith, Head to Alston, then A689 towards St Johns Chapel, take a right turn to over towards teesdale. Then head down to Middleton-in-teesdale, then towards Brough. South to Nateby, then you can do the buttertubs, ending in Wensleydale. Left towards Hawes. Right in Hawes towards Ribbleshead, left towards settle. South to Wigglesworth and Slaidburn.

Not really sure where you'd go from Clitheroe, but you'll have a huge ****ing grin by then anyway. And in Settle you can fill up with V-Power.

That'll all take about 4 hours. You could probably add a loop towards Hexham and HHC. It's a lotus, TVR and Noble dealer.

Thanks Chilled, I'll look this one up.

I agree with N Wales and Lakes BTW. Although we are going very early we will no doubt get caught up in traffic somewhere.
