[QUOTE=MRmike,Nov 18 2009, 08:43 PM]Gutted

Kimi is an enigma, wrapped up in a paradox.

I'm really dissapointed with this result, and illustrates that he perceives F1 as nothing more than a day job. So dissapointed he didn't take the Mclaren job and preffered to pick up more money by leaving F1.

He had the ability to deliver several more championships, but I guess his heart wasn't in it anymore. I think he also would have given Hamilton a really good fight, and bested him ultimately.

He wasted away at Ferrari, and never imposed himself enough to make a difference to the cars development. Look back a few years and he was fantastic in the Mclaren - look at suzuka where he forced his way from the back of the grid.

He's anything but boring.

Doesn't look like the fat lady has sang!

Just hoping that Brawn has been devloping the new car to a decent level! I'm sure Mercedes will have a slightly tweaked version of the motor that Mclaren use!

One question - how could they have matched Raikkonen's pay demands if they couldn't meet Buttons?

Either way it's awesome!

Raikkonen and Rosberg in the highly tuned AMG versions, Hamilton and Button in the smarts. Excellent

Can't help but think Mercedes may have had an gentlemens agreement with Brawn some months ago.

I'm sure the Brawn 2010 car will be "up there" with the rest of the front runners.

Bloody clever Mercedes having 2 sides here come the budget cap

Mercedes High Performance Engines
And
Mercedes GP.

How will Ferrari compete with a similar budget to Mercedes GP?

I think its a shame he has gone, certainly one of the most talented drivers in F1 for sure. Im pretty sure he would have given Hamilton a run for his money (certainly more than Button will do).

I suppose that hes already made a lot of money, won the world championship and unless he gets a top drive then why stay in F1?
