.... come on chaps ... it was beautiful out there today!!!

Got the CBR out and went over to see my parents who live at the sea-side ...and jolly nice it was too (I did put the quilty lining back in my Rukka jacket first tho!)

Even I made it out on the Ducati

(The ZX6R is less sulky in the winter, maybe next time )

It's gorgeous, like going for a blast in an S roof down

Does anyone have a link to a website explaing the best bike locks? The insurance companies seem very interested in precisely which lock you buy, but I don't know which are best!
I must say in all my years riding I have never been asked about locks. Alarms/immobilisers yes. Find somewhere else.

You might want to consider third party fire and theft, both mine are insured that way. For the amount of mileage I do and the value they have it makes sense - it makes a big difference and in terms risk vs cost it makes sense on < 4k bike IMHO.

What model, F or FS?

I think you would expect to pay a bit more for the FS.

If you want the bike make him an offer of

I doubt that he will sell it.

I see that there are *lots* of CBR 600s on ebay.

Low mileage is no particular big deal. The issue is condition i.e. never dropped or bent. The engines are pretty much unburstable, and the gearboxes are sound. There are plenty around and its not as if you'll be putting many miles on it at the moment. 3 of us went out last Sunday for about 70 miles around Bridgnorth, Craven Arms and Clee Hill. It took 30 mins with the jet wash and a lot of Muck Off before the bike was completely free from salt etc.

You can always wait until this particular bike doesn't sell and mail him an offer.
