Steve, Dan,

On the R1, is there a crotch and excess heat problem with the position of the exhaust? I read in some mags this was an issue.

Went and looked at the CBR600F this morning - as ebay ad described. Generally very good nick indeed (tyres looking almost brand new, no play in swing arm, bearings smooth). Being anal, two little scratches on the back of the bike (chipsaway can sort them when I have the S2000 sorted) and a couple of stone chips on one side of fairing (replacement decal would sort, if unduly concerned). Faint scratch on wing mirror and a mushroom clearly caused by getting too close to garage wall rather than a drop. The owner has ridden just 300 miles on it (unfortunately a biker hit his van broadside and its put him off riding).

As for the servicing, I see from the book that it was serviced in 02 and 04 - therefore patchy. However, its done bugger all miles and I would just get it serviced straightaway, as suggested by Steven.

Colour looks even better in the flesh

I think I'll bid for it on Tuesday night

Were you hiding in the bushes next to Kingstanding test centre two weeks ago?

Not really an issue for me.

The only time it feels a bit too warm is when you are stuck in traffic in the middle of summer.

Once moving at a decent pace the airflow stops any problems.

Not something that I have ever noticed.
