One tip for 2 piece leathers.

Make sure the zip is the full circumference of the jacket and not just a 6" zip at the back , and also that the zip is stitched into the leather rather than just the lining as quite a few are .

A helmet really should have an ACU gold sticker , forget anything that doesnt as you wont get onto most track days without that sticker .

They need to fit properly too.

Loose leather is no good in a spill...it'll just rip straight off.

I had a CBR600 as my first "proper" bike. Unintimidating yet can keep up with the big boys, it is a definitely a good first bike that you won't grow out of too quickly...

Yep, familiar with the ABU sticker - made sure my current track day helmet has it Still pondering over the leather v textile debate.

If you're just hooning around on sunny days, I'd just get the leathers.

Two piece leathers, then you can take the jacket off at the pub rather than having the top half of a one piece flapping around

My mountain biking buddy has just been round after picking up his new bike this morning. Passed his test last week and got this 650 Bandit. I can't believe you can get stuff like this for just over 4k brand new

He is probably still trying to decide whether he should go and have a look at it
