[QUOTE=Paper Lawyer,Nov 10 2006, 09:13 AM]I may go and have a look at this one on Sunday but:

(a) do you think the colour is rare since its unpopular and thus the bike would be difficult to sell (it looks good to me!)?

(b) what should I be checking on the bike beyond tyre wear, smooth steering and suspension movement, obvious wear & tear, clunky gears?

If the gearbox feels more clunky than the 23K mile ER5 I learnt on then I know something's wrong

EDIT: What reg is your bike Kay?

Found the Parker's price guide for the bike

She's a 52 plate Craig and done a similar sort of mileage to the one you're considering. I've only ever seen one other with the same paint-job

Honda gearboxes are very clunky, especially into first from neutral. It's a "feature", or something. A reassuring thud, if you will.

Does this clicky work?

You can't find the bike if you type in "CBR600", which I hope means less bidders
No! ebay is blocked ...... completely.

Check the chain and sprockets for wear. Sit on the bike and check the steering from side to side. Any notches in the steering and the head bearings need replacing.

Check underneath the bike for corrosion.

As the bike has a low milage check that it has been serviced at least once a year.

Remember that it is not a good time of year to be selling a bike, ~

I would say that is one of the better colours for that bike.

It would make a good first bike.

Looks good to me , I think that is an incredibly good paint scheme for Honda , especially compared to their normal "Shell Suit specials " that adorned slightly earlier bikes .

Being serious now , you could go out on that bike , and unless the riding and speeds get totally lawless you could ride along happily with a group on any mix of machinery and not be out the back.......................

unless your a duffer on a bike
