What you should do is buy, say, a 2000 SV650 for a good price.

Keep it for a year or two, then sell pretty much at the price you bought it for.

Then you'll have the NCD to get something *really* quick.

And not too much money spent.

Blue would be a good colour.

I'm considering whether to buy a cheap road bike or buy a supermoto, as my friends off road so I could make more use of it then. For example:

KTM 525 EXC Racing

Note that the seller is also separately selling a set of road wheels

Don't you have to change the oil on those things every 400-500 miles? That is certainly the case on some KTM SM's. I'd love a go on one though

Thanks for the warning, done some homework - every 15 hours or 100 litres of fuel (according to the 525 EXC manual) - that sounds pretty frequent! Mind you, its not going to be doing many miles.
