I passed my practical test this morning!

Kept the Direct Access Course and test quiet (StevenM and PJL were the only s2kers in the know) for fear of failing (particularly after reading u turn woes on Bike Banter forum of PH)

I only did the test to have it under my belt and to go off roading abroad, but I've enjoyed riding around Birmingham Sunday/Monday and the S2000 felt kinda slow when I jumped back into it after my test today...

Well done - What bike are you buying now?

Edit: Just read your post. I'll go back to sleep.

Resisting temptation to buy the second bike down on here:

(round the corner from me). The R6 and the new CBR600 are both very nice bikes. Originally I wasn't going to get a road bike due to my own safety concerns, but now its more of a cost/use justification as I prefer to ride my MTB into work to keep fit, so the bike would see little use (my mates ride off road).

I still haven't told the parents yet about learning to ride. My Dad used to bike and will probably be pleased (not in front of Mum though). Whereas, as far as my Mum would be concerned, I'd be keeping a bike at the end of my garage for my wayward mate who lives down the road

I may go to the bike show next week at the NEC to see what's there
