Not read this thread all the way back, so has anyone on here
had/got a 916 or 996?

I wouldn't buy another (or a 996) as a road bike.

Dan is there a particular reason you were wearing a transit van shaped rucksack that day?
The R1 doesn't have enough power to do them without

Driving back home on Sunday the weather was awful - I felt really sorry for the few guys on bikes who were getting absolutely soaked.
But the one I felt most sorry for was at the services.
I was pulling up to wait for the pump just as the guy on his Blackbird was finishing filling up.
I noticed which nozzle he was putting back so pulled up along side instead.
I put the window down a shouted over to him "mate you've just filled up with diesel"
Poor bloke had picked to Ultimate but diesel instead of petrol.
Told him not to start it, get it syphoned and he should be fine.
He seemed grateful, if not a little pissed off
