whilst it is daft, i admit, its a lot smarter than buying a new M4 for example..

my 2001 S2 stopped depreciating years ago so probably costs £600 a year to keep on the road and owes me nothing with 60k miles under my watch, this rust is the only repair in many years so annualised is feck all.

the boosted one about the same now, fingers and toes crossed, cheaper tax too.

the BM probably loses £2k a year and costs another £8-900 a year tax, service, MOT but any repairs and things like tyres or brakes are expensive. it covers distance with such ease though when i need it (rarely).

compare that to a nearly new Golf GTD which cost the better half £7k in a year, depreciation and running. it did better mpg but i do 5k a year total in cars if that.

Some familiar faces here i see (still)!

I chopped the SC Lotus for a couple of bikes too almost two years ago now.
Aprilia RSV4 and a R1200RS for touring with the missus.
Car sick (for now). Nothing beats a Superbike on a quiet sunny morning

Wozon ya buggers?

Agreed on the bike thing. Nothing changes speed / direction like it and after removing all that EURO crap from the exhaust, it sounds as good as it goes.

I cannot see the sense in tying up big money in depreciating things unless you are either too minted to care or someone else is paying for it.

here are some proper dicks showing how fast a tesla is
