All I do is keep on top of chain / lights and any obvious crud and maybe a spray of water to clean surface crap off ... but no soap / hot water / detergent. I use a leafblower to dry it off Good excuse to inhale twostroke fumes

Been using the Z1000 more than either of the cars of late and put just over 700 miles on it. It's fast, stable, relatively economical, practical but above all FUN. Still can't believe how easy 140bhp is to get along with. 2nd gear is mental, 3rd will get you banned but the way it gathers speed from nothing to NSL plus in ANY gear is very easy to get used to. The hard luggage is great as it locks and also locks to the bike. LED headlights for hi and low beam are great at night.

Can see me getting another bike but can't see me selling this one.

i do a commute across the city, my old bike had an FMF which was pretty (very) loud. When i swapped to the XSR people were constantly cutting me up and not realising i was there on the stock exhaust (i go through heavy traffic so lots of filtering) so i put a black widow on.. it's loud but it works really well

the cat on the XSR was a tiny ring grid.. it resides in my shed as emissions are not part of the bike MOT and i dont need an MOT for 2.5 years anyway

Its only 600 quid for new catless headers for mine ..... and a free extra 15 horses, not that they are in any way required

Ditch the cats and unleash the noise/power!!

Well, after saying to myself that I won't modify the Panigale, i've gone and modified it!

Firstly bought a few carbon bits and then a carbon fibre fuel cap, also fitted a magnesium engine cover from a 1199 and then a clear clutch cover. Also just bought a set of Termignoni silencers (cost more than my first bike!) however being a Ducati the bloody bolts are seized on the original exhaust so I'm having a beer and thinking about the next move (drilling them may be the only option). It's then off to Bristol for some dyne time and a remap.

All in all the bike is so easy to ride however it does get some attention (luckily down here the scrotes on scoots are harmless). It is without doubt however the worse bike to work on! Something that is simple on my street (oil change for example) turns into a pig of a job!
