I need to find some nice roads. There are plenty around Wales, but the Fuzz are always on high alert and hiding in a bush. Every time I go for a ride, I'm waiting for a NIP!

I went to Le Mans the other week for the classic. Very pretty country.

Fitted an SC Project Conic to the STR. First without the baffle, which actually made it painful on the ears, so run it with it in, sounds amazing.

Also randomly tried on this helmet, which works perfect with glasses, so had to buy it! weighs 1200g!

What helmet is that?

I reckon it'll be more than 1200, even the Carbon Race R Pro's are 1300+

I think, in the UK, noisy exhausts are a good idea

Obviously my riding is all commute, all traffic, but it never harms for people to be aware of you

As the saying goes........................

If loud pipes save lives.......................

Just think what learning to ride the bike properly would do!

The last person who said that to me, I tore them a new one.

That's exactly the same as saying 'why wear protective gear, learn to ride properly.'

Having a noisy exhaust is brilliant. I don't know how many thousands of miles I have filtered, but I can say that being noisy certainly stops some drivers from the usual f uckwittery they get upto. Even if it stopped one, it would be well worth it.

Now jog on with your weekend warrior fair weather riding.

Absolute rubbish you do talk some shit sometimes Ron, we have loud pipes because they sound better and in some case's release a few extra ponies, the saying is used as your justification for breaking the law and so you can annoy folk by constantly revving your engine, you have a perfectly legal horn to let folk know you are there
