Nah, I was able to ride it in first gear into the office and it only needed a bracket for the gear changer to be able to ride it home. The crash mushrooms took the worst of it ... and have I invested in some more.

The visibility on the Dorsoduro is excellent, because of the height, but I would have had better control with a Shiver and it would almost certainly be a better commuting bike for me.

Got the CRF today. Really impressed by the little bugger, light, agile and as nippy as it needs to be for my commute.

Funny, it has only had a single tank of petrol in its life of 2 years and 98 miles so the gas was pretty crabby and i ran out before i got to the petrol station. I pushed it across the road and filled up.

My missus likes scooters but I'm not keen based on her driving.

I wanted to experience an offroad type bike similar to my experience when younger (think MTX 200 and an old Yamaha TY). So far i'm really smitten. It's not a machine for a man who likes his hp top trumps but it's surprisingly nippy around town and very agile. My old CBR had the turning circle of an artic lorry
