You like the looks?!?! It looks like Sloth from the Goonies. The 2015 version looks better but it's still no looker.

Well one rides a Honda . With some of the other choices you will have loads of time to admiring the sleek looks wondering what went wrong this time...

I can only imagine the acceleration of a litre bike melts what remains of the brain - nice bike Lee!

Over the 1/4 mile there isn't all that much in it as so much of the power is trying to keep the front wheel on the floor.

1000cc does it in 10.0 and 600cc does it in about 10.8. Yeah once you're past about 130-140 the litre bike will strut its stuff.

Just remember that several litre bikes have 1st gears that will go past 100mph...

Application of that is going to be problematic i suspect Not really had a go on anything mad ...... but plenty of time to build up to it slowly.

Had my first taste of a "bigger bike" yesterday. The Honda CBF600 which is normally reserved for bike couriers, and daily commuters, felt like the fastest thing on two wheels Even just doing low speed manoeuvres (in practise for the mod 1 test), and a couple of hours riding on local roads gave me an idea of how much more power (and fun) you have on tap.

Sadly I have to wait a month before undertaking two more days riding, and both mod 1 & 2 tests. If everything goes to plan I'll have my full license on the 30th September.

Teah I did my tests on a CBF600. 85bhp, but still rocketship fast compared to car world. The Hornet is very similar.

Rebuilt the Suzi over the weekend:

List of bits:
New black/Silver fairings
New Iridium Double bubble screen
New Green ally screen bolts
New Kevlar Renthal Grips
New Tri colour bar ends
New Brembo Master Cylinder
New R6 Throttle Tube
New HEL green braided race brake lines
New clutch cover
New mode selector/kill switch
New decatted manifold
Removed SET valve and fitted CEL fix
New wing mirror
New Vortex V2 Rearsets
New pressure brake light switch
Replacement Oil pressure switch
Carbon clutch cover
And finally some no frame cut crash bungs!

A long day rebuilding it, but the grips were the biggest pain in the ar5e to fit!

Just got to get the tank painted now.

And I actually almost fell off on this photo!!!

Nice to be back on it though

The truth is though, once you're used to big cc's, it's difficult to go back. Up the (slightly uphill) back straight of Magny I was pulling 170 on my blade whilst my friend on his R6 was doing 140 - that's a massive difference. It might be a combination of things of course, but the ability in most gears to get a big handful of power to the rear hoop does give a significant real world advantage.

Of course I'm talking on track here, and there is no denying that on the road a 600 is already stupidly over-fast!
