1999 VFR800FI arriving next week :-) Winter project and tidyup, keeping the CB500 as the fun hack for now.

I'm pretty happy with it - 23k, one owner, full SH and a recent FULL service including valve checks and adjustment, Cosmetically a bit tatty but nothing a wash and polish won't fix. Had the exhaust downpipes replaced and got some new lamps for the clocks - other than that .... it's a nice tidy bike.

As far as I am aware the NSR 125 is an oil burning 2 stroke that sounds like a sewing machine on wheels
As these bikes were only made until 2001 you need to be careful when buying one as the engine needs major work every 10k miles and they use more oil than fuel .
The NSR 125 was replaced by the CBR 125R which is 4 stroke motor and is a much nicer bike to ride and is more releiable / better communter bike that the old NSR 125 if you are looking to use one to get some miles under your belt.
I had a CBR 125R and it was a great little bike, cheap as hell to run / insure and I had to do absolutely nothing to it in the time I had it other than change the oil.
Don't be put off buying one that had had 7-8 owners in the last 6 years as people simply buy them after doing their CBT to get some experience on them before doing their big bike license & then sell them on.
Choose wisely and you will lose next to no money when it comes time to sell it on as they are always in demand.

i'll probably go for a cbr125r, i also like the cg and cb 125. would love a cafe racer 125 but those are quite rare.
