True enough - and how long would you want to spend at > NSL on anything but a warm wind free day I'm happy up to about 80ish, anything more than that and it requires too much effort.

If i was doing serious distance / commute i'd have a fully faired bike.

London Bike show was ok, but MUCH smaller than Brum one.

Usual suspects were there with albeit smaller setups.

One thing I did notice was Jamie Whittam (Ex rider, current commentator).

His body is knackered. He was walking about looking like a 90 year old man. I have no idea how many times he has crashed, but there must be three or four big ones from the look of him.

I felt a bit sorry for Shakey Byrne. He was doing the rounds at various stands and I caught him a few times speaking. Despite being 4ft from him and him being on a speaker, I simply couldn't hear what he was saying. It did sound a bit boring though and I couldn't be arsed to wait around for him to sign something so I left him to it.

A few kids at the show and it is the kids who are the right size for the supersports bikes. 12-14yr olds seem to have a reasonable position on the Fireblade/GSX-R!!

Speaking of comfort, I again can confirm how ridiculous the R6 is. Got on the new R1 that was next to it and even that was less extreme on the wrists!

Mrs really liked the VFR 1200. Tis an awesome bike - like the USS Enterprise in it's technology (Dual clutch shaft drive) look and power (And weight I'm sure). VFR800 was a much better option in reality though.

Everything there just made the Street Triple R look like even better value for money.

Pretty much satisfied myself that in no particular order, i do not want ( or fit) Sportsbike, Cruiser, Adventure bike and i refuse to buy a BMW on point of principle and Honda turned up with half of a range. If i fitted, i like the Tuono Aprillia ( fine once on it ) , some of the Motoguzzi stuff was also pretty nice. The Ducati Scrambler was ok but it's 2 grand too expensive and that's before you get up close and personal with the options.

So for me for now, it's another summer on the ratty 500 and then i'll look at something else - still looks like it will be some kind of Striple

Paid a visit to my local Susuki dealers today and looked at the 2015 edition of the GSX-R 750 in the latest colour scheme (same as at the NEC - moto GP replica which is one of the standard 2015 paint options) and now comes with some tasty extras as standard.

They are also offering some very keen deals.... Hmmmm....must stop slobbering & just buy one! :-)

I haven't Patrick. Ron pointed them out at the NEC show and they are a nice looking bike but I am not a fan of naked bikes so didn't bother sitting on one.

Yeah, apparently pre reg ones are coming in at £7750 - not too shabby at all.

Previous model Aprilla Tronos are coming in at under £10 - £3k saving!

If you want to buy a new car there are sites such as www.drivethedeal.co.uk & www.carwow.co.uk

Does anyone know if there are similar sites for buying a new bike?
