The zx6r isn't as long reach to the bars as a gsxr or 675.

Well I know that the new zx636 has the same frame/chassis as the old one.

Everyone is raving about the GSXR600/750 as the superior bike though. The ZX6s are VERY good value for money in comparison.

Having ridden my 09 zx6 back to back with my mate's 13 plate gsxr750 the zx6 is better as a stock package. The brakes on the gsxr are shocking and you need to put brembo discs on to make a real improvement and the cat is very restrictive. The zx6 is spot on out of the crate bar the ugly exhaust.

Triumph is lovely but I just don't trust the reliability the use I give a bike.

Now a modified gsxr750 is a different beast.........

It's the 675 I mean Ray. Seen too many break on track and I'm fairly hard on engines

Ray mentioned Speed Triples, so thought I'd post a pic of mine! This is from a trip to Italy earlier this year, somewhere near the Austrian border:

As for sports bike riding positions.. I tried Helibars on an old bike of mine and they made virtually no difference comfort wise. I also tried a flatbar conversion and it completely changed the feel of the bike (for the worse). So lots of money spent and still wasn't happy. And that's how I ended up on the Speed Triple.

Finally got around to wiring in the new running lights ( and fitting the new headlight unit and updated lamp) but it's the running lights that amused me the most, they may just possibly maybe be a little on the bright side. One thing is for sure, on murky mornings, i'll have no issue seeing where i am going.

Fitted them with a seperate switch and with a relay although they only draw 1.5A each unit and are officially only 900Lumens / 20W.

That's WITH main beam on
