Brilliant!

I hope you've got some good winter gear, its pretty chilly out there for 100mile rides.

Yep - good socks, good merino blend under layers and decent boots - using the schools jacket, gloves and trousers but that's all decent enough kit - plus heated grips and the euphoria of passing the bit i was dreading = no cold registering

I'm sure i'm not the only one that thinks like this, when you put some proper hard work in, you don't want to just 'pass' you want to do do it without any errors at all - i suspect Mod 2 won't go quite so smoothly but i'm going to aim for the same result.

Glass of wine tonight, it has been a long day with a lot of concentrating. Really enjoyed the miles post test and one to one instruction ( the other bloke cancelled) has been worth its weight in gold, especially as i haven't had to pay any extra for it! Knowing you have someone behind you to keep you out of trouble whilst you get a feel for the roads and conditions really helps and the wet weather experience on unfamiliar roads where you have to read the road was something i was really hoping for.

Whatever happens on Friday, right now i'm feeling pleasantly smug

Yes but your Blade doesn't weigh 167kg does it. Even skinny 600s weigh in at over 190kg

Congrats!

Mod two is easy as it's just riding. I got two minors - one for not accelerating fast enough ( ) and the other for not using my horn when a child ran out infront of me. Yep, I went past a school at 3pm which I thought was a bit unfair since it can only be full of things you have to be failed on!

Hit some ice today on the way into work - driffftoooooooooo!!

Congratulations on passing your mod 1!

As Ron says the mod 2 is actually easier than the mod 1. Just relax & enjoy the ride & you'll be back at the test centre before you know what's going on :-)

You are on about a bike with 1/2 a tank of fuel and ready to run?

Not some mythical dry weight. I hate dry weights - it's like saying my vehcile weighs 100kg....without the chassis and engine.

A BSB blade is 165kg dry, so if you are saying you are that wet....

'Despite all this talk of weight savings, Honda’s claimed a curb weight (with a full tank of gas) for the 2014 Honda CBR1000RR SP is 440.9 lbs, which is actually a pound heavier than the base model CBR1000RR.'
