Or a succession of hamfooted learners - no matter, it's all done now. I don't know why people are in so much of a hurry to learn though, you only get one chance to do it so you might as well take your time and do it right.

There needs to be a 'Like' button on this forum

Are you doing a crash course over say 5 days or is it broken up over a few weeks?

Bang for bucks, There's no such thing as a fast car when you have a bike

5 day DAS - we'll see how we go. tomorrow is pre mod 1 practice day after a 'get to know the bike day' today.

Irrespective of whether i pass or not ... i WILL pass no matter what it takes, just way too much fun not to.

Obviously you lot all know this but the bigger bike is just ........ just more faster bigger better in every way.

Got to about half throttle in 2nd and 3rd ... bigggggggg grin

Good luck! Remember plenty of revs on your mod one. I feucked mine up and stalled (The first time I'd stalled the bike in any of the lessons!), so on my second go at it I gave it 9-10k revs and slipped the clutch like mad. Zero minors.

Had my rear shock blow its fluid out the other day so it's all nice and bouncy! Still have to ride it to work and was late this morning so had to give it some despite the handling issues.

Feels weird, like a car with several thousand degrees rear toe out.

So I have ordered one of these:

£425 for ONE damper. And that was cheap! Going for a specced hyper-pro would have been near £900!!

Also need a new rear tyre now. Pilot Road 1 has lasted about 6500 at the rear - not bad for a single compound tyre.

And rode back through the arse end of the hurricane laughing at the guy in his Maserati bricking it doing 50mph in the hail as I swan past him.

I think those are the worst conditions I have ridden in with the only tricky bit being seeing and the vast change in wind when emerging from the side of a truck.

I just need to remember to take my waterproof pants with me next time!
