Sat on one of these at last years NEC show - wasn't prepared for just how big it was 'up front'. It's good looking but not pretty, if that makes sense.

Yes, it's the Carbon version.Rear tyre is humungous - 240!. I reckon that it's designed for the American market where as we know they have all extremely large a***s - the wide rear tyre makes their a***s look small

The conventional wisdom is that too wide a rear tyre makes the bike difficult to turn. All I can say is that Ducati have some clever engineers as the bike turns in very easily. A little bit more experience with the bike and I will have eliminated the chicken strips.

Got my pegs down today which was quite cool. I don't have sliders on my textiles so no knee

Getting quite happy know with hanging my arse off the seat when cornering and feeling the rear end wobble on corner exit

The bike is extremely compliant it has to be said.

The thought constantly crosses my mind. On the proper twisties there is no way you can get your knee down because you'd be going waaaay too fast to be able to see around the corner. I was explaining to someone the other day that there is no such thing as the circle of grip on a bike - when you're cornering, if you hit the front brake you no longer corner!

Maybe I should take up flying....
