Anyone else at Motorcycle live today?
Good day and had the chance to try out a number of bikes.
First thing I can say is that If you are over 5'10, for get Jap sportsbikes and if you are over 5'8, forget Suzuki - you need to be a midget to ride one of them!
S1000RR was brilliant (Ergonomically of course) apart from the argument I got into with the sales guy when he tried to justify £3000 to save 5kg by having the carbon bits. No
Fave bike was the Triumph Dayatona 675R. Had a good chat with on of the factory staff who was very knowledgeable (Well, he didn't have tits and wasn't wearing spandex/leather) and went through the differences between it and the old model.

Gents, I am after some help.
I have just changed my bike and bought a 2011 CBR600F which is an absolute dream. The only thing is that I am fairly short at 5ft 4" and really could do with a lower rear spring to drop the bike by 30-40mm which my local Honda dealer were going to supply & fit for £150. The spring was not from Honda themselves & the company that they were going to get the spring from has just advised that it will not be back in stock for 2-3 weeks.
Does any one know of a good place to get a rear lowering spring or kit for for under £200 as I don't want to change the entire shock as this is coming in at around £500?
Thanks
Martin

I got it sorted at last, the one that Honda originally said they would do for £150 came in a few weeks ago & because of the delay they did it for £100.
For me it has made a world of difference as I can now have my foot flat on the floor when I stop rather than be on the ball of my foot.

Not that I am biased and it looks far better in blue & white

I sat on the CBR mate and it was just a little too small, although nowhere near the Suzuki in where my knees were touching my chin! That Suzuki mate, i'd be willing to bet that you'd struggle on it - it's like it's based on a pit bike!
Otherwise, i'd look at the pics and definitely agree with you!

I love the cbr 600F.
I was very close to buying one but ended up on the other end of the scale and now pilot a 2013 Hayabusa
Ive got a few mods to do to it. Tail tidy with matchbox sized number plate. Akrapovic 4-2-2 Race exhaust system with either a Bazzaz/PCV and a quick shifter. Since riding a S1000rr last week i neeeeed a quickshifter. It also urgently requires braided brake lines and maybe a larger brembo master cylinder as even with the new brembo mono bloc abs setup the lever is very squishy not want i want when its up to 220bhp !

Pilot ..... an apt word i think. I can only imagine what 220bhp on 2 wheels is like! Currently trying to tame the grand total of 10.5
