Hmmm...I was hoping the bike was gonna be taxed. Now gotta work out how to get it taxed without the V5!
you will need to send them a copy of your insurance details though.

Bob, I won't get my insurance docs through until Thursday which means I won't get a chance to send it to them.
When I got my Omega, the garage managed to get tax without my insurance docs.
Won't this lot be able to do the same?

Top tips for San once he gets his bike...
My top 5
1) Assume everyone is out to get you...learn to check out driver's body language too (do they look confident or unsure?)
2) Practice target avoidance...i.e you will tend to go where you look so look where you want to go. Don't look at the kerb 5 feet in front of you in bends. look through the bend instead.
3) Countersteer. You probably do it already without knowing. Basically, to get the bike lean the way you want give the same bar as the way of the bend (i.e opposite to how you steer it) a shove to push the bike over quickly.
4) Practice. You can't expect to pick up a new skill without practising. Find somewhere quiet, do turns in the road to improve balance, practise braking hard, so you know what the bike can do in an emergency*) etc. Find a quiet roundabout and do some laps, leaning the bike a bit more each time (warm the tyres first though!!) - you'll be amazed how far it will go...
5) If you get caught out a bit quick in a bend don't brake, just lean further! Odds on you are miles away from the limit of the bike, but if you brake the bike will want to stand up - not good.
Anyone else for more?
* The other day a woman concentrating more on her mobile phone than her driving did a U turn in front of me. I was able, with the front wheel protesting but not skidding, to stop just a few feet away from her. It was practice that meant I knew how hard I could brake the bike with out losing it...

Stupid question Steve....but that's not legal is it?
I don't know why they can't do it...no skin off their nose.

The dealer should be able to tax it with their insurance certificate.
If not I'm sure you'll be fine getting it home and then taxing it once you have the relevant paperwork through.
Same as Steven for me, when I picked up the R1 they hadn't taxed it so I just rode it without any until they sent it through to me.
