Always had a hankering for one of these and on Monday had a moment of weakness on Ebay and ended up the proud owner of one of these:

Haven't yet picked it up but rode the bike on Friday. It was a reminder of how far bikes have moved on in the last 35 years BUT the handling was amazingly good although the brakes were amazingly BAD - however this may just be down to the lack of use - 1500 miles in the last 19 years. Still the bike whilst not mint is original and will be a fun project to work on.

Looks in good condition, Phillip. compared to the discs on the RR it's no wonder thet feel bad.
Bringing back to mint will keep you out of trouble for a while

Nice

I was admiring somrthing similar few weekends back in the highlands.

I take it the R90S was the "touring" version hence the nose fairing and panniers?

No. The S was the sports version! A massive 67 bhp with 0 to 60 in about 5 seconds and 124 mph.

This bike won the AMA Superbike race at Daytona in 1976:

The panniers are down to the fact that the Germans are nothing if not practical.

Rossi out for the rest of the season potentially after a nasty 100mph highside
I don't think he has missed a race for the past nine years, maybe ever.

Since '96 I think they said earlier

Hope he makes a speedy recovery.

I have visions of him riding around in a cast just to keep a few points coming in

For the iPhone users out there:

I won't have a chance to use it til next year now though, as the Sooz is almost tucked away and in hibernation.
