it does look very nice, but I wish they would sort the headlight thing out on their bikes.

The production bike has a few but only detail differences from this photo.

The good news is that the road tests say it's a great bike. Check these out:

I'm surprised it has received such rave reviews but it would certainly be on the top of my test ride list if I were in the market for a 1 litre (along with the Fireblade).

does anyone use acf-50 spray or scottoiler fs365?

I've been using gt-85 but am beginning to think it's a far better lubricant than a protector.

I used the Scottoiler stuff previously, but you need to reapply it after you wash the bike (or after heavy rain I guess).

ACF 50 I use now, and you only need an application or 2 over the winter.

I did my Viffer last week, although I couldn't get the side fairings off (shitty wellnuts) so couldn't spray behind them this time.

Seems to be effective in so far as the bike doesn't look too shabby.

It was in the Motorrad red white and blue colours and is the one which all the dealers will have on show from Saturday morning onwards.

They were prepping the bike ready for it to be displayed from Saturday onwards.

I had to overcome an immediate urge to get my credit card out and put down a deposit. I might yet still succumb
Sat on the motorsport coloured one at the bike show and fell in love.

Was by far the nicest bike i saw all day. The only shock came when i saw how much the bike plus the options kit cost. 15k

I don't know where you got that figure from. The S1000 RR Sport i.e. including the Race ABS, the DTC package including the quick shifter costs £ 12,235 OTR at the current VAT rate. The only option excluded from this price is the alarm which costs £172.

I appreciate that there are umpteen carbon bits and other other after market bobs which can push the price up to £15k plus.

Having said that I have one on order

February build, March delivery

Interesting experience on Sat. Went to the match on the bike, enjoyed the 5 goals we put past our local rivals then headed home. One road closed so i went another way. That road was rammed so i turned round then that road closed and a heli started hovering near me. Just up ahead i could see about 100 cops in formation.

shite i thought.. there were some right wing marches in town. Ended up riding up the pavement and using route 3.. lots of police saw me but didnt mind.

it was this up ahead http://i.thisis.co.uk/274198/binaries/MOV0...nfrontation.MP4
