Went out on Saturday, along with Cat one of my riding mates, for a day with one of Rapid Training's instructor's, Dan Harris. I've had two days out with Rapid in the past but felt the need for a refresher

We met up in Moreton on the Marsh and then rode, with breaks, for 200 miles around Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire. Berkshire, Witshire and then back to Moreton.

For those of you who have not had advanced training I would strongly recommend a day out with Rapid. All the instructors are Police Class I Motorcyclists, which is about as good as it gets. You get expert feedback. For me it highlighted, in Dan's opinion, the occasional risky overtake into right hand bends. I hadn't thought so at the time but on reflection I reckoned he might have a point. After all he only has to be right one time in a thousand for that tip alone to maybe save my life.

We also got a lot of good information on positioning for, and executing overtakes.

If any of you are interested in what rapid offer then here is a link to their website:

(Have a link, can't figure out this embedding malarky )

I'm (eventually) going to sort out a more complete video with the rest of the footage

Oh, that's clever - the embedding "stuff" doesn't work.

But just dumping in a link does

A mate just got a Aprilla Mille with twin Akrapovic, sounds sooooo good!

Meanwhile, I finally took the baffle out of my CBR! Should have done it sooner!
