The angle of that photo makes the RR look really tiny. I guess the more tucked away exhaust of a current model CBR also gives the impression of less size. Looks good

Thoroughly enjoyed my test ride on the RR last year.

Did come to the conclusion I'd end up in traction if I bought one though

Really like it in that colour

It is a stunning colour, sounds great, goes very well indeed!

I love the tucked away exhaust, and it is quite a narrow smallish bike...quite nimble, now I am looking at track days at brands..

I am taking it easy, haven't been over x5 spectrons and haven't revved it past 8k rpm! Slowly, slowly!

Lovely looking bike that - a mate has a black 600RR, although I think his is an 04-reg maybe?

Did you try the Daytona 675 before buying, and how did you find it compared?

Yeh, 6'6" is probably a bit tall..especially when hugging the tank! I would say its about right for 6' ers.

Mike, I didn't try the Daytona, I wanted to stick with a Honda, I have wanted one ever since they came out! so very biased!!! lol

Fair enough! I do like the Hondas, obviousy have a VFR myself, but I test rode a Daytona 675 and whilst it was a complete pig on town (i'm too big for it, really!) it was simply AMAZING on the twisty backroads. I'd go as far to say the best road bike, for those sorts of roads, I'd ever ridden! If thats all I did, road up and down the A413 everyday, I'd have one in the garage...!

I test rode a Daytona too last year.

In the context of a mediocre rider having a 1 hour ride on each on UK roads I thought handling wise there wasn't much to choose.

The extra grunt of the 675 (not to mention gorgeous noise!) was immediately apparent though and to my mind makes it a better prospect on the road. The riding position was an absolute no-no for me though.

Ended up with the Street Triple and absolutely no regrets
