I don't use mine anywhere near as much as you do yours, but I think I need to have a few extra bits on the policy.
At the moment I'm FC SDP only - no commuting + riding other bikes and limited to 3,000 miles a year.

i've just bought my jacket
still no bike. Is that TT any good Mike? I know someone who's trying to shift one atm

euan - are you referring to my VFR?! I used to be an accountant as it happens! The VFR is a cracking road bike - as quick as a 600 in a straight line, reasonably nimble on all but the twistiest of twisties, and takes me and the missus with panniers and top box fully loaded away no problems - perfect for my needs.
The TT is for general hooliganism and track days

VFR (I had an 800FiW which got written off hence the VTEC) was my first bike, but the more I ride it the more I like it. Very versatile and seems forgiving in that's it's never chucked me off, despite my occasional inadvertent attempt at crashing it.
How is the throttle/fuelling on yours? I don't think mine is the worst of them, but it still periodically gives me grief sometimes.
