Not a great fan of the Kwaka, never appealed. Decided to spend close to 6k ish.
Really like the CBR but not a fan of the paint jobs. I like the Movistar rep but my mate has that and can't seem to get a Hannspree for the right money. Which Honda dealer did you visit?

Love the 675. Thinks it is a great bike but one thing puts me off, and its the only thing that puts me off.................... NO FUEL GAUGE!!!!
i have come very close to a good deal on one but it really does scare me not having any indication of how much is in the tank
Thinks its the same on the R6 too. Do they have warning lights?

Yep, they have fuel lights, on the Triumph it comes on when you have 3L left, good for about 25 miles I'd say.
PS I have been riding for nearly 30 years and never had a bike with a fuel gauge. You soon get the hang of mentally keeping track of where you are. In any case these days I set the trip when I fill up so I know almost exactly when the light will come on.
I have the Street Triple which has the same clocks and pretty much the same engine

I've only ever had one bike with a fuel gauge - a Kwaka GPZ250 (belt drive wonder). The fuel gauge was faulty though...
On bikes you either get a warning light of a reserve tap (can be a bit fiddly in traffic to turn on the move). The process is to reset the trip meter every time you fill the tank and you quickly get an idea of your fuel range. You'll get 25-50miles on reserve depending on bike and riding style/conditions.

Well, I made my mind up today. Took the Mrs's uncle who has been riding all his life to check it over.
I have bought an 07 R6. Just over a 1000 on the clock, still in warrenty. He had a good look round it and the bike looks like new. Tyres say its not even had any hard cornering so well pleased. Got a decent discount and a few bits thrown in.
Quick question - The bike is the red and white colour scheme and has black wheels. Any idea where I can get the wheel tape you see on bikes? I am wanting some good qaulity red tape to go round the out edge. Seen it on the latest 08 and looks nice.
