I thought you didn't need to do a theory test if you were young enough to have had to do one to get your car licence? (sadly I wasn't young enough)

And I wasn't making assumptions of Dawn's age honest

The theory tests are slightly different for Car and Motorcycle though.
I don't actually know if one covers both ???

If you are a learner driver you must take and pass your theory test before you book your practical test. If you already have a driving licence you might not have to take another theory test if you want to start driving a different vehicle.
You will need to take a theory test if you want a licence for a new category of vehicle, for example, if you have a car licence and you want a motorcycle licence you will need to take a theory test.

We were at the Shipley Harley Davidson Rally On Sunday ![cool.gif](https://www.s2ki.com/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif)
They were expecting 450-500 bikes, and we all drove from Baildon to Harewood House in Leeds.
It was incredible.
They closed the roads off, we ignored all the red lights, had police escorts in some areas, and the roads were lined with people watching and waving.

You don't want to do silverstone then?
It's 4 groups too - so less track time.
