Chris, I just wear a Howies merino wool t shirt under my jacket. I find Merino very smell-resistant (use it when skiing off piste and really working hard)

Advice needed.
My exhaust valve has become stuck a couple of times now. This (the 2nd occasion), it has seized. Not an uncommon problem with the Gixxers I'm led to believe.
They are getting in a new front pipe set for me (under warranty), but the garage have suggested that another alternative would be to have it removed altogether.
This involves work not covered by the warranty. They say it makes no difference to the performance. But it'll cost a few hundred quid.
Shall I just get rid of the bike before the warranty (and clean it more often
)?
Or shall I have the 'snip'?

I'm guessing Suzuki, when designing didn't, just think "oh, we've got a load of these valves spare, lets chuck them in the exhaust"
IIRC they are there to control some back pressure making the bike smoother at lower speeds?
Have a mooch round the GSX-R forums and see what they say

It might not make any difference to top end performance, but as Dan says it will at lower revs. This is assuming it is the Suzuki equivalent of the EXUP valve (which stuck on my R1, but it is 10 years old).

We were at the Shipley Harley Davidson Rally On Sunday 
They were expecting 450-500 bikes, and we all drove from Baildon to Harewood House in Leeds.
It was incredible.
They closed the roads off, we ignored all the red lights, had police escorts in some areas, and the roads were lined with people watching and waving.
Beats any car meet I've ever been on
