Well, the deal has been struck, the extras have been ordered (inc BFG Zorst ) and, god willing, I should be able to pick up the bike around 10th Aug. I cannot wait.
It should look pretty much just like this, with some luggage and a backrest for Donna
I'm prepared for much piss taking but it has been a dream of mine forever to own a HD. I really don't know why I've left it this long
I don't know how I'm going to cope these next two weeks
Oh, and I also splashed out on the reg CF08 HOG

Don't forget to wear all the protective clothing *all* of the time
...
I saw a "kid" on a sports bike yesterday doing at least 100 (aggressively) along the M1 wearing a thin pair of trousers, and a shirt flapping in the wind.
Didn't look safe I must say
Then a guy on a goldwing with shorts and a t-shirt later on.
Is was a chuffing hot day mind.

If it's hot get a lightweight textile suit with plenty of vents but I whileheartedly agree with Dan - never go out without protective gear. I'd rather be hot and bothered for a bit than suffer weeks or months of pain while I receive skin grafts to cover up road rash.
Yeah, already got a lightweight textile jacket for the nice weather, to compliment the leathers.
Haven't had chance to use it yet

Not my cup of tea but I can see why people like them so hope you enjoy it....
Glad you are getting the gear sorted, my wife has worked in A&E if you need any stories to convince you!
Have fun

Another question for you guys.
I don't know how many of you are into cruising / touring etc with the wife on board, but do you have any recommendations for intercom systems ?
Autocom seems to be very popular.
