1mm anyway is feck all, especially in wet weather.
It's still just above the wear indicator, but I didn't fancy getting caught out in wet weather, so new tyres when the dealer can fit me in.

Will probably upgrade to a different tyre on front and rear anyway - new Bridgestone BT021 meant to be a big improvement over the BT020.

Can anyone recall what uber-tourer Welshman is riding these days?

I am getting fed up looking for fuel half-way into my weekend jaunts up north (205 miles, VFR only does 160 ), and am considering a used Pan as it has enough range.

I suppose there must be BM equivalents which I ought to look into.

(I have heard that the build quality on BMs is worse than shite)

I've heard that too, but worth a look anyway if the prices aren't astronomical.

Any of the guys I know who have tried a beemer have come back liking them ( except for the Boxer cup replica RS ) and have been surprised .

I must say , i wouldnt buy a bike just for having an long range though , that spells boredom to me , how about a little diesel Micra , plenty of room for your flask and sandwiches too then

160 from a tankfull will be sounding pretty impressive to a couple of the folk here

I would imagine anything will be a big improvement on an 020

If you want a bargain tyre , try the Avon Vypers

Are you a Y plate Bus?

I vaguely remember one of you wearing an orange bib / jacket (unless I'm going mad) and your pillion definitely took and extended look at the car
