I always put some weight (bricks or something else) on the handle of the paddock stand once the bike is up in the air - just to be sure

Friend had a call from one of the bike mags to see if he could spare the next 4 days.
They want him to ride with the normal testers and take a fleet of Litre bikes to the Ring for a magazine test .
Be buggered if i would do that at such short notice lol
he is cacking himself as most of the guys are ex racers , he has done similar trips with them before and isnt normally much off the pace , but he did bin a bike last time out

Spring has sprung,
The grass is riz,
I wonder where the bikers is?
... just passed my practical test WOO-HOO now for something with more than 15bhp!
But what to buy?

Depends on how much you want to spend on insurance. Do you mean quick instead of "interesting"? Any 600 sports would fit the bill. If you don't want a sports bike, how about a Kwak Z750 or maybe a Trumpet Speed Triple? The Speed Triple might be a bit too naughty though

600 (super)sports I would suggest.
The usual suspects being the R6, CBR600, GSX-R600, or the ZX-6R. Don't forget the Daytona 675 though.
All 2nd hand of course.

2005 R6
I used one of these to commute into London every day for a couple of years. It was the most comfortable bike in the Sports 600 range, handles pretty well and is easy to ride.
San bought one of these last year for that sort of price.

The GSX-R seems to be top of most bike mags' reviews over the last couple of years.

Which mag does he normally go with Bob??
He went to the Island last year with 4 other bikes , then often does their 4 for 400 mile UK test route ( or whatever the mag calls it )
Gets a good cash hit every day and all his expenses covered , thrashes the arse off somebody elses bike , and often manages to blag some nice kit .
