Looks good. I wouldn't worry about mileage on a cbr 6. I bought mine with 12k on the clock and did 25k on it, never missed a beat. It got nicked in the end

That 1098 is the dogs

I would never buy another Ducati.

Uncomfortable and impracticle.
lol, you don't buy a 748 for comfort or practicality You buy a Ducati with your heart not your head Having said that my Monster is comfortable and practical, and I have the ZX6R for "head" days

To be more specific ..... I wouldn't buy another Ducati sports bike.

I considered getting a monster as my first bike and would consider one in the future.

A guy I ride with often assists with one of the mags when they do multi bike track or road tests .

His comment on the 748 ...........

" It would have gone round the track quicker if i had put it in the back of the transit and drove round "

I thought that the 748 was fine on A roads but shite on bumpy B roads.

I had also thought that it would have made quite a good track bike.

I think it probably does , if you can work around the lack of power it has ' he had read the hype and was probably expecting a bit more than it could bite off .

ps , my mate is on a road test this week with " Bike " mag , just got a report that he has binned one of the bikes

He is ok , and luckily one side of the bike is still ok for selectively shot photographs

A mate of mine had a 748 and didn't get on with it. He reckoned it needed an odd, aggressive style to get the best out of it that made it hard work on the road.

I considered getting a monster as my first bike and would consider one in the future.
Mine's great. Thought I'd get an S4 but in the end after riding them I got a 900ie, I think the air cooled engine suits it better, and it's powerful enough for the type of bike it is. I've been surprised by its reliability and build quality. The only hassle is the stupidly expensive belt service.

Bought a bike at last

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...22851&rd=1&rd=1

I know it seems quite a high price, but it has led a very sheltered life indeed
